Dr. Schimmel talks about his upcoming performances in Wozzeck at the Metropolitan Opera on April 6, 9 13 and 16 and performs his new radio opera, Wozzeck the Winner. This is the first WS accordion radio show of 2011. Dr. Schimmel and his co-host Brian Dewan discuss the use of the Swarmatron, an instrument invented by Brian and his cousin Leon. The Swarmatron is used in the soundtrack of the Academy Award contender The Socal Network.
